Beyond visual aesthetics, I harbor a deep love for technical process. I enjoy learning new disciplines and techniques, with a specific passion for historical and cultural practices. I look forward to developing my humble portfolio into a sustainable practice.

Photography

One of my first great loves, photography has always been an inspiration and passion of mine. I have studied both traditional film and digital photography, with experience in both darkrooms and digital editing programs.

Surface Design

I found Shibori and Rozome in my early collegiate years, and eagerly await the time when I get to finally invest in my practice of silk painting. Below is a demonstration of mastery with several different techniques on both cotton and silk.

Embroidery

This is the smallest area of my expertise, but I have the largest of plans; I see great potential for unique interpretations of historical handiwork. I am also inspired by other artist who presently push the boundary of fine needlework.
